Hi, I’m Lauren!
My story, unfiltered…..
The end of my freshman year of college hit harder than anything I’d ever faced. One moment I was thriving - an athlete, independent, fully alive - and the next, I could barely tie my shoes.
I was exhausted, in constant pain, and struggling to do the most basic things.
And like so many women with autoimmune disease…I wasn’t believed.
“Maybe it’s just stress.” “Are you sure it’s that bad?”
Spoiler: it was.
After landing in the ER and finally getting someone to take me seriously, I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis. But that was only the beginning.
The years that followed were a crash course in chronic illness: infusions, flares, brain fog, canceled plans, broken routines, and a long list of things no one prepares you for.
I thought I’d take the meds and bounce back. Instead, I quickly realized I had to learn an entirely new way of living - physically, mentally, emotionally, socially.
And here’s what hit me the hardest:
No one gives you a roadmap for life with autoimmune disease. Not the doctors, not the system, not society.
So I had to become one.
I became an autoimmune trailblazer - piecing together strategies, building routines that supported my body, learning how to honor my health without abandoning my goals, and discovering how to stay connected to who I was beneath the symptoms.
A few more diagnoses later, here’s what’s true:
I didn’t just find my footing - I found my purpose.
And now, everything I’ve learned, lived, and rebuilt… I’m dedicating to helping women who feel like their autoimmune disease has stolen the life they imagined step into a future they never thought could be theirs.
I’m a certified Holistic Wellness Coach through Well College Global (IICP, AADP, IPHM, and ACCPH accreddited), and I work with ambitious, driven women who are navigating life with autoimmune disease - just like I was.
My approach is real, strategic, and grounded in the reality that your goals still matter, even when your body demands a new way of getting there.
When I’m not coaching through Empowered Roads, you’ll find me growing my tech career, exploring Colorado with my doodle Tank, experimenting with new gluten free recipes, and continuing my education to support even more trailblazers in building a life that works with their diagnosis - not around it.
